Web analytics and cookies

As an important part of making a user friendly website, we analyse the usage pattern of website visitors. We use Google Analytics, Hubspot and Hotjar for this purpose.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses cookies (small text files the website stores on the user’s computer), which registers the user’s IP-address and provides information on the user’s movements online.

Examples of what these statistics helps us understand are: how many visitors visit different sites, for how long they stay at a site, what websites they came from, and which browser they use.

None of the cookies lets us connect your web usage information to you as an individual.

The information collected by Google Analytics is stored on Google’s servers in the USA. Collected information is subject to Google’s guidelines on privacy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

An IP-address is defined as personal information because it can be traced back to a distinct computer, and therefore an individual. Hatteland uses Google Analytics’ tracking code, which anonymises the IP-address before the information is stored and processed by Google. This means that the stored IP-address cannot be used to identify an individual user.

Hotjar

Hotjar is used for analysis of user trends and web usage, and for feedback from users of the website. The website www.rambase.com contains a tracking code which connects to Hotjar’s servers, which run a script against your computer or device. This script will register information concerning your use of the website. The information is then sent to Hotjar’s servers for analysis. Hotjar collects information like your IP-address, your screen resolution, which browser you use, mouse movements, what website you’re visiting, language settings, etc. Hotjar also uses cookies to store information that doesn’t contain personal information. The information collected by Hotjar are stored on Hotjar’s servers in Ireland (EU). Collected information is subject to Hotjar’s privacy policy, found here: https://www.hotjar.com/privacy

To reach intended target groups, n.rich processes data that may contain personal information like email-address, IP-address and user activity on the website. These data are anonymised or pseudonymised in such a way that they cannot be traced back you you as an individual.

If you visit the website or sign up for the newsletter, we can log your use of the website and store cookies on your computer to recognise your web browser.

This information can be tied to a unique identifier, enabling us to reach you with targeted advertising on other websites. For more information on n.rich and privacy, see: http://n.rich/privacy-notice
